Cherise (CJ) Teasley is Corporate Counsel for VMware, Inc., which is a leading infrastructure software and cloud services technology company and part of the Dell Technologies family of companies. She is the lead lawyer responsible for commercial transactions and negotiations with VMware's NY, NJ and NE customers, as well as VMware's Global Financial Services customers which include the largest financial institutions in the world. She also specializes in cybersecurity and data privacy, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for both the US and the EU by the IAPP. Prior to VMware, she began her legal career with IBM. In addition to her J.D. from Michigan State University where she graduated with honors, Ms. Teasley holds a bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Florida, where she was a member of the Golden Key Honours Society. She is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and volunteers pro-bono for Open Hands Legal Society. Ms. Teasley is a New York City resident currently living on the Upper West Side, and attends Redeemer West Side Presbyterian Church. She enjoys watching football, Broadway, indoor cycling, reading, and theology.
